Being a global citizen, it’s important to not only have concern for our local community and country, but also the world as a whole.
Lans’ Phnom Penh Sightseeing Services
After my trip to Cambodia in 2011, I helped formulate an online presence for Lan’s business in Phnom Penh. This included utilising Facebook, Twitter and Trip advisor outlets. All connected via a centralised website, where clientel can make bookings and also obtain useful information. Also creating brand imagery and building exposure in the market.
The result is a community of over 800 people in contact with the business since the change and continual new customers (as a result of online recommendations). Also there is an active community on the facebook page with updates and Cambodian news posted.

KIVA Microfinance Loans
My 35+ Kiva loans across over 32 nations have currently supported food stores, housing and community initiatives. Kiva is a non-profit organization with a mission to connect people through lending to alleviate poverty. Leveraging the internet and a worldwide network of microfinance institutions, Kiva lets individuals lend as little as $25 to help create opportunity around the world. Ranging from supporting housing needs, busineses and agricultural needs
I loan because there are ambitious people across the world who are disadvantaged and without the resources available that we take for granted. By contributing to granting loans, these people are given an opportunity to rise out of poverty and improve living standards in their family and the wider community. Through Kiva, I receive great personal satisfaction that my contribution can change lives.
